• 70,300 sports designs filed between 2016 and 2025 (+8.3% per year)
• 1.7 million active trademarks in the global sports sector
• A sports technology market growing from $30 billion to nearly $140 billion by 2030

These figures from WIPO’s 2026 “Sports Technology” report highlight a clear reality: innovation is at the heart of sports performance, and intellectual property is a key strategic enabler.
