John Jacques Podtetenieff

John Podtetenieff is a European Patent Attorney at Plasseraud IP.
He specialises in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, defending his clients’ grant-ed patents and challenging competitor patents, primarily in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
He is also experienced in preparing patent landscapes analyses, conducting portfolio re-views, and advising clients on patenting strategies.
John acquired extensive experience as a biotech and pharma patent attorney in the Munich office of a major American law firm where he managed valuable client portfolios, conduct-ed complex EPO oppositions, and supported litigation in several European jurisdictions.
Prior to joining the IP profession, John worked as a researcher in academia and industry.
