Plasseraud IP contributes to the journal European Patent Litigation in Practice

Plasseraud IP and Plasseraud IP Avocats contribute to the journal European Patent Litigation in Practice (EPLP), published by Wolters Kluwer.

Sandrine Bouvier-Ravon, Partner at Plasseraud IP Avocats, and Laurence Loumes, Partner at Plasseraud IP, co-authored the article “Preliminary Injunctions in France: Legal Framework and Practice,” published in the latest issue of EPLP.

The article examines the legal framework governing provisional measures in France, with a particular focus on the principle of proportionality as applied by French courts. It outlines the applicable legal foundations and procedural rules and analyzes the relationship between validity, infringement, and proportionality through recent French case law. It also highlights a distinctive feature of the French system: the absence of an urgency requirement.

Ina Schreiber, Partner and Head of the Patent Department at Plasseraud IP, is also a member of the editorial board of this journal, which was launched in 2023.
