Plasseraud IP is contributing to the debate on the future of artificial intelligence in the patent sector

Ina Schreiber,;Partner and Head of the Patents Department, spoke in Munich at the event ‘What Modern IP Teams Are Doing with AI’, organised by DeepIP, PatentMaker, JUVE Patent and BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT.

Bringing together around 50 European intellectual property managers, executives and industry experts, the event provided an opportunity to discuss the growing impact of artificial intelligence on the intellectual property sector and, more specifically, on patent practice.

During a panel discussion moderated by Celia Wei (PatentMaker), Ina Schreiber shared her experience alongside Daniel Werner (BARDEHLE PAGENBERG) and Marc-Michael Barf (Infineon Technologies). The discussion centred on a key question: how can the potential of artificial intelligence be transformed into tangible value for intellectual property professionals?

The panellists discussed, in particular, the opportunities offered by AI to optimise certain processes, improve team efficiency and enable experts to devote more time to high-value-added activities, where analysis, strategic advice and human judgement remain essential.

This event also provided an opportunity to reflect on the transformations currently taking place within the profession and the changes that artificial intelligence could bring in the years to come.
