Plasseraud IP to attend the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) 2026 Annual Conference in Toronto

The Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) annual conference will take place in Toronto from 27 to 29 September. Plasseraud IP attends this annual event every year to lead or attend training sessions, meet with our stakeholders and keep abreast of market developments and trends.

Laurence Loumes has been an active member of the IPO for the past few years. She was appointed vice-chair of the Green IP committee at the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) in 2024 and spoke on various panels, the latest being on the subject of data protection. Based in Germany at our Munich office, John Podtetenieff is a member of the IPO’s Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Issues Committee as well as the European Practice Committee. This year, having attended the IPO’s European Congress in Frankfurt in May, Laurence and John are looking forward to meeting their counterparts and in-house colleagues from across the Atlantic in Toronto.

Founded in 1972, the IPO brings together more than 450 organisations from over 30 countries. Its aim is to represent its members – holders of intellectual property rights – in the legislative arena, to highlight current issues and to raise public awareness of the protection of intellectual property rights.
Once again this year, the impact of AI on professional practices including drafting, research and procedures is, of course, at the heart of the discussions.
