Bertrand Loisel is a Partner and Patent Attorney at Plasseraud IP. Graduate of Ecole Polytechnique de Paris with a Ph.D. in Materials Science, he is involved in patent cases in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering, and digital technologies. He has dealt with numerous infringement cases before French and foreign courts as well as numerous oppositions before the European Patent Office. Before joining Plasseraud IP, he was a researcher at the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique and practiced as a patent attorney at a French IP firm. He is a member of the Unitary Patent (UP) and Unified Patent Court (UPC) committee of the CNCPI. A member of various associations, such as ACPI, FICPI, AIPPI, he regularly speaks at conferences and was a member of the French Examination board for the Qualification of IP Attorneys. Bertrand joined Plasseraud IP in 1992 and became a Partner in 2000.
