John Podtetenieff is a European Patent Attorney at Plasseraud IP.
He specialises in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, defending his clients’ granted patents and attacking competitor patents, primarily in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
He is also experienced in preparing patent landscapes analyses, conducting portfolio reviews, and advising clients on patenting strategies.
John acquired extensive experience as a biotech and pharma patent attorney in the Munich office of a major American law firm where he managed valuable client portfolios, conducted complex EPO oppositions, and supported litigation in several European jurisdictions.
Prior to joining the IP profession, John worked as a researcher in academia and industry.
John joined Plasseraud IP in 2025.
