Press Review

According to Juve Patent, the entry into force of the PACTE law tends to reform the French patent system as a whole and to modify the scope of action of French Intellectual Property Attorneys.

At the forefront of this upheaval of the system: the possibility of oppositions before the French Patent Office, but also the introduction of the notion of inventive step as a criterion for obtaining a patent, as its already the case in the United States, China, Germany or Japan.

These two major changes raise many questions in terms of litigation management and the resources allocated to the examination of patent procedures.

Guylène Kiesel Le Cosquer speaks about the French patent culture in the article "New horizons for French patent attorneys" by Juve Patent.
