IP Box Tax Relief Regime in France

Press review

Albert Hassine, Partner and Patent Attorney at Plasseraud IP, was interviewed by Managing IP magazine for an article about the updated IP box tax relief regime in France.

The French Finance Act for 2019 was approved by the French parliament on December 28, 2018. According to all attorneys interviewed by Managing IP, its changes bring France into line with other European countries (such as Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Ireland, the UK). The magazine and experts analyse if the Act is enough incentive for companies to base their R&D activities in France.
Albert Hassine points out that the major modification introduced by a preferential regime is its extension to software and a tax cut to 10% from 15%.
