Plasseraud IP strengthens its expertise in plant variety protection with an appointment to the CPVO

Plasseraud IP is pleased to announce the appointment of Benjamin Fontaine as a member of the Board of Appeal of the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO), the European authority responsible for plant variety protection.
Plant variety rights (PVRs) are essential forms of intellectual property, enabling the protection of new plant varieties and supporting innovation in the agricultural, horticultural and plant breeding sectors.

The CPVO Board of Appeal hears high-stakes disputes characterised by a high level of technical complexity. Comprising legal and technical experts, it delivers its rulings following written and oral proceedings.

This appointment further strengthens Plasseraud IP’s recognised expertise in the field of plant varieties, an area in which the firm also draws on the expertise of two in-house specialists, Catherine Touati and Audrey Normand.

Plasseraud IP extends its warmest congratulations to Benjamin Fontaine on this appointment.
