Alexandre Ribeiro Dias

Alexandre Ribeiro Dias is a Head of Toulouse office, French and European Patent Attorney at Plasseraud IP.

Alexandre Ribeiro Dias graduated from Telecom Paristech (Telecom Paris / ENST) in 2001, and joined Motorola Labs, as a research and standardization engineer, where he worked on the definition of next generation WLANs (including participation to IEEE standardization meetings). 

Alexandre then became patent engineer in 2007, and has now more than 18 years experience in IP, with 16 years in patent law firms and 2 years as in-house patent counsel in the automotive industry. 

Alexandre assists his clients in the drafting, prosecution and litigation of patents. He has extensive expertise in the field of IT, in particular in the sector of wireless communications, terrestrial and satellite communication networks, signal and image processing, remote sensing, etc. Alexandre has also performed numerous evaluations of the essentiality of patents for 3GPP standards (3G and 4G).
